We strive to improve the quality of life, both at work and at home, for our fellow citizens by providing them with the skills and methods to improve the quality of their performance and enhance satisfaction in their lives. |
Our History
Rizzo & Associates was founded by Rita Rizzo in 1984 when she made the decision to leave her position as a psychiatric nurse and apply the therapeutic techniques she had acquired as a clinician to the business world. It was not long before Rita realized that simply cultivating self-esteem and fostering enhanced interpersonal skills among workers was not sufficient to boost the performance outcomes of the organizations that employed them. Armed with this knowledge Rita returned to college and studied organizational cultures and systems from an international perspective.
By 1990 Rita had expanded her training and consulting focus to include diversity and inclusion issues, organizational development strategies, performance management systems and customer-driven culture development. She also came to understand that a team approach to organizational and workforce enhancement was preferable to maintaining a solo practice. Over the ensuring two decades she assembled a team of over 50 professional, integrity-driven consultants to assist with the work through the creation of a freelance consultant pool and partnering with other established consultancies.
In 2001 Rita further expanded the services of the firm to include business and technical writing services to assist client firms in codifying, structuring and publicizing their organizations. She also introduced a line of self-directed learning programs to augment the onsite training and consulting services provided by Rizzo & Associates.
The firm further evolved in 2005 when a partnership agreement was signed with Business Research Labs to offer a comprehensive line of employee and customer survey services to our clients. Through the use of valid survey outcomes and logic modeling planning and evaluation processes our consultants are more successful than ever before in helping our clients hit their performance, productivity and profitability targets.
To date Rizzo & Associates has served over 800 client organizations in the public and private sectors throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom, but we aren’t done yet. We are currently gearing up to offer e-learning courses and are expanding our product line to include digital learning products and e-books. Ever "on the grow," Rizzo & Associates evolves rapidly and to stay ahead of the curve in offering our present and future clients state-of-the-art consulting services.
